احبس أصلها وسبل ثمرتها

It is reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to Umar bin Khattab:
“Leave the land plot for yourself, and spend its fruits (as sadaqa)!”
This hadith was narrated by al-Nasai (6/232) and Ibn Majah (2397) from the words of Ibn ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-Jami ‘as-saghir (180), Irva-ul-galil (1583).
Grade: صحيح
It was narrated that Ibn ‘Umar said:”Umar said to the Prophet: ‘The one hundred shares that I acquired in Khaibar -I have never acquired any wealth that I like more than that, and I want to give it in charity.’ The Prophet said: Leave it (for yourself) and donate its fruits.” – Sunan an-Nasa’i 3603
