اتْرُكُوا الحَبَشَةَ ما تَرَكُوكُمْ فإِنَّهُ لاَ يَسْتَخْرجُ كَنْزَ الكَعْبَةِ إلاَّ ذُو السُّوَيْقَتَيْنِ مِنَ الحَبَشَةِ
(د ك) عن ابن عمر.)
According to Ibn ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, said:
“Leave the Ethiopians as long as they do not touch you. for it is only the Abyssinian with short legs who will seek to take out the treasure of the Kaaba ”
This hadeeth was transmitted by Ahmad 5/371, Abu Dawood 4309, al-Hakim 4/453, Ibn ‘Adi to al-Qamil 2/274, Khatib al-Bagadadi in Tarih Bagadad 12/403. Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith good. See “Sahih al-jami ‘al-sagir” 90, “al-Silsila as-sahiha” 772.
