461 – It is narrated from the words of Abu Sa’id that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When one of you comes to the mosque, let him look at his sandals, and if he sees dirt or filth on them, let him clean them and then pray in them.” This hadith was narrated by Abu Dawood 650.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Sahih al-jami ‘as-saghir 461, Irwa-ul-galil 284.
