Yahyā bin Mu’ādh [may Allāh have mercy on him] said:
“The cure for [rectifying] the heart is in five:
1. Reciting the Qur’ān exercising contemplation.
2. An empty stomach.
3. Standing the night prayer.
4. Invoking Allāh [Blessed and Exalted be He] at dawn.
5. The company of righteous people.”
