The Punishment For Opposing Sunnah | A Severe Warning To Mawlid Celebrators.
حدثنا أبو بكر بن أبي شيبة . حدثنا زيد بن الحباب عن عكرمة بن عمار . حدثني إياس بن سلمه الأكوع ؛ أن أباه حدثه ؛ أن رجلا أكل عند رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بشماله . فقال : “ كل بيمينك “ قال : لا أستطيع . قال : ” لا استطعت “ ما منعه إلا الكبر . قال : فما رفعها إلى فيه.
Salamah b. al-Akwa’ رضي الله عنه reported that a man was eating alongside the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ with his left hand so the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said to him: “Eat with your right hand.”, he replied: “I am not able to.”, so the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “You will *NOT* be able to.”, nothing prevented him except for arrogance then Salamah said: “He was no longer able to lift his hand up to his (mouth).”
