Shaykh Dr. ‘Abdur-Rahmān Al-‘Umaysān حفظه الله stated:
I asked our Shaykh ‘Abdil Muhsin Al-‘Abbād حفظه الله about the ruling of some Masājid where the people are praying standing about a meter or two meters apart from each other to protect themselves from sickness?
Our Shaykh حفظه الله responded:
The prayer is invalid and they are considered individuals just as if they were praying individually.“

قال الشيخ د. عبد الرحمن العميسان حفظه الله:
سألت شيخنا الشيخ_عبدالمحسن_العباد حفظه الله تعالى: هناك في بعض المساجد يصلون وبين كل شخص وشخص فرجة متراً أو مترين زعمًا منهم أن هذا لتوقي المرض، فما حكم ذلك شيخنا؟!
فأجاب شيخنا:
“لاتصح الصلاة، ويعتبرون أفراداً، كما لو صلوا منفردين.”
