Imām an-Nawawī Raḥimahullāh said:
“A person usually hears (both) truth and lies, so if he narrates *EVERYTHING* he hears then he has reported something which (probably) didn’t happen or the opposite of it took place and it’s *NOT* a condition (for it to be a lie) that it was done *INTENTIONALLY*.”
