The Wisdon Behind Increasing One’s Fasting In Sha’bān

Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said: “… and since Sha’bān was like a prelude to Ramaḍān, what was legislated in it was that which was legislated in Ramaḍān from fasting and reciting Qur’ān as a form of preparation to meet Ramaḍān and training of the nafs by these means to obey ar-Rahmān.
