[The Importance of Adhering to the Sunnah]

The Prophet (ﷺ) said (1):

Whoever invents a practice into this religion of ours, it will be rejected.

Benefit (2):

It is impermissible to invent religious acts into Allah’s Religion, even if the invention is [perceived] as good, and the heart is lenient towards, and enthused about it. This is because invention into the Religion is from the work of shaytaan.
