‘Abdullāh ibn Mas’oud رضي الله عنه:

“The death of a scholar is a loss in Islām that cannot be replaced for as long as the day & night alternate.”

[Tafsīr Al-Baghawī,Sūrah Ar-R’ad,ayah 41]

May Allāh have mercy upon the scholars who have passed away & protect those who are alive.
