???? Path of Salafiyyah – It’s night is like it’s day
It was narrated from ‘Abdur-Rahman bin ‘Amr As-Sulami that: He heard Al-‘Irbad bin Sariyah say: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ):
*قَدْ تَرَكْتُكُمْ عَلَى الْبَيْضَاءِ لَيْلُهَا كَنَهَارِهَا لاَ يَزِيغُ عَنْهَا بَعْدِي إِلاَّ هَالِكٌ.*
‘I am leaving you upon a *(path of) brightness whose night is like its day*. No one will deviate from it after I am gone but one who is doomed.
Ibn Majah 43
It has been narrated on the authority of Thauban that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
*لاَ تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ لاَ يَضُرُّهُمْ مَنْ خَذَلَهُمْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ أَمْرُ اللَّهِ.*
*A group of people from my [Ummah ]will always remain triumphant on the right path*. He who deserts them shall not be able to do them any harm. They will remain in this position until Allah’s Command comes to pass (i.e. Qiyamah is established).
Sahih Muslim 1920
Now, some of the confused ones are saying that we can’t specify & identify this group!!. This is a direct opposition to the saying of the prophet ﷺ: *I’m leaving you upon a (path of) brightness whose night is like it’s day*.
Islam is a Religion of clarity, there is no confusion in it. Making such kind of statements is an indirect accusation on the Prophet ﷺ that he failed to explain the religion to the people!! والعياذ بالله.
Does that mean the inheritors of the prophet ﷺ i.e, The Great imams & the Scholars, who came after them, the likes of Shafiee, Malik, Ahmad ibn hanbal, Abu hanifah, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn al Qayyim & other than them, everyone were upon confusion & they can’t differentiate the right path from the wrong one! No one says this except a foolish ignorant.
These kind of statements emanate, either out of negligence & laziness in finding out the truth or them following their desires. والله المستعان.
*The two Hadiths of criterion to find out the saved sect from the destroyed or the deviated ones*
Narrated by Al-‘Irbad bin Sariyah:
*Our eyes shed tears*
_”One day after the morning salah, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) exhorted us to the extent that the eyes wept and the hearts shuddered with fear. A man said: ‘Indeed this is a farewell exhortation. [So what] do you order us O Messenger of Allah?’ He said: *’I order you to have Taqwa of Allah, and to listen and obey [(the Islamic ruler)], even if it is an Abyssinian (Ethiopian) slave.*_
*A Prophecy which contains a warning*
_Indeed, whomever among you lives (after me), he will see *much differing* (i.e, the Fitnah would be severe as a test for the people)._
*Starting point of misguidance*
_Beware of the *newly invented matters*, for indeed they are astray._
*The Prophetic Solution to stick to the right path in such times*
_Whoever among you sees that, then he must stick to *my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Khulafa’,* cling to it with (your) [molar teeth].’_
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2676
*A prophecy ( prophesying) that there will be division within the Ummah*
_The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “My Ummah will split into seventy three sects._
*A threat to such groups*
_All of them in the Fire except one and_
*Who is the saved sect?*
_*It is al-Jamaa’ah*.” It was said, “Who are they, O Messenger of Allah ?” He ﷺ replied, *“(they are those who are upon that which I and my Companions are upon today).”*_
At-Tirmidhi 2643
Yes, it is the path of the Prophet ﷺ & his companions. It was like Imam Malik said, *what wasn’t deen in their time wouldn’t be deen in our time.*
???? There were no (supplicating) to the dead people.
???? There were no innovated dhikr circles.
???? There were no forty day outing expeditions in Jama’ah or three day expeditions in Jama’ah.
???? There were no calls to establish the khilafah.
???? There were no celebration of the birthday of the prophet ﷺ
???? There were no rejections of ahaadeeth
???? There were no Fasad (corruption) in the name of Jihad.
???? There were no giving precedence to the intellect over the texts (Qur’an & Sunnah)
And many more which we couldn’t enumerate…!
Yes, that is the
*Path of Ahlus-Sunnah wal Jama’ah*
*Path of the Salafi methodology*
*Path of those who stay away from Shirk & Bid’ah*
*Path of those who seek knowledge from the rightly guided scholars*
*Path of those who stick to the Hadiths & the narrations*
*Path of those who act upon what they learn*
*Path of those who expose the falsehood & it’s people*
*Path of those who refrain from fanaticism to the Scholars & the Madhaahib*
*Path of those who give importance to Aqīdah & sticking to the sunnah*…
