رَوْضَةُ البَادِئِين
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ رضي الله عنه عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ: «لاَ يَدْخُلُ الجَنَّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي قَلْبِهِ مِثْقَالُ ذَرَّةٍ مِنْ كِبْرٍ» قَالَ رَجُلٌ: إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يَكُونَ ثَوْبُهُ حَسَنًا، وَنَعْلُهُ حَسَنَةً. قَالَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ جَمِيلٌ يُحِبُّ الجَمَالَ، الْكِبْرُ بَطَرُ الحَقِّ، وَغَمْطُ النَّاسِ»
Narrated ʿAbdullāh bin Masʿūd رضي الله عنه that the Prophet ﷺ said: “He who has in his heart even an atom weight of pride will not enter paradise.” A man said: One loves that his clothing be decent and his shoes to be decent. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Indeed Allāh is beautiful and loves beauty; Pride is to disdain the truth and despising the people.”
