It is reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“Two (things) the son of Adam does not like: he does not like death, although death is better for him than temptation / fitna , and he does not like (when he has) little wealth, although the less wealth, the easier it will be for accountability (on the Day of judgment) “.
اثنتان يكرههما ابن آدم: يكره الموت والموت خير له من الفتنة, ويكره قلة المال وقلة المال أقل للحساب» .

This hadith was narrated by Sa’id ibn Mansur and Ahmad (5 / 427-428) from the words of Mahmud ibn Labid, may Allah be pleased with him.
