The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: “Nothing of the charity (Ṣadaqah) leaves a man until it is freed from the jaws of *70 DEVILS*.”

Imaam al-Manaawee Raḥimahullāh said in its Sharḥ that charity is an act which if done to seek Allaah’s Face is from the greatest of ranks which can be achieved by a believer, hence Shayṭān tries his best to drive a man away from giving Ṣadaqah as it is a deed which affirms his Istiqaamah and his sincerity (for Allaah).
