458 – It is narrated from the words of Ibn ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When any one of you wants to come to Jumu’ah prayer, let him perform ghusl.”
This hadith was narrated by Malik 231, al-Bukhari 877, Muslim 844, an-Nasai 3/93.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Sahih al-jami ‘as-saghir 458.
