It is reported that ‘Umar ibn Abu Salamah, may Allah be pleased with them both, said:
“The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “ Oh my son, come here! Say: “In the name of Allah!” / Bismi-Allahi /, – eat with your right hand and take what is closer to you! ”
This hadith was narrated by Abu Daud 3777, at-Tirmidhi 1857, Ibn Majah 3267, Ibn Hibban 5215.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 251.
