Sh. Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān Hafiẓahullāh: Reasons for deviation in ʿAqeedah are as follows:
• Ignorance of Deen
• Fanaticism towards beliefs of ancestors even if they’re false
• Blind-following men without proof
• Extremism in raising the rank of ʿAwliyā (righteous ones)
• Being heedless of Qurʾān and not pondering upon it
• Lack of Islamic education at home
