Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3546

ʻAli bin Abi Talib narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“The stingy person is the one before whom I am mentioned, and he does not send Salat upon me.”

Grade: Hasan

Also in Ahmad (1736), and an-Nasa’i in “Al-Sunan Al-Kubra” (8100) and Ibn Hibban 909

Comments:

Usually a miser is a person who loves money and does not spend it even at the time of dire need, but the Prophet counted as a stingy person whoever did not send Salat on him when he is mentioned before him.
