Shaykh Sālih al-Fawzān, [may Allāh preserve him] said:

“If your wife does not get along with your mother, then have her live on her own and have your mother live with you, or seek another wife who will help you in fulfilling your duties and one who shows good treatment to your mother. As for you leaving and abandoning your mother and going with your wife; obeying your wife, this is something which is not permissible. This is disobedience towards one’s parents.”
