Sahih al-Jami ‘as-Sagir Hadith no. 46
أبِنِ القَدَحَ عَنْ فِيكَ ثُمَّ تَنَفَّسْ
Narrated Abu Sa’id Al Khudri :
That the Prophet ﷺ said “Remove the cup from your mouth and then breathe.”
This hadith was transmitted by Sammawayh in Faweed, al-Bayhakyi in Shu’ab al-Iman (6005) from the words of Abu Sa’id al-Khudri. This hadith was also given by Malik (1650), Ahmad (3/32), al-Tirmidhi (1887), Ibn Hibban in his Sahih (5327), and al-Hakim (4/139), who said: “Isnad of hadith reliable ”and al-Zahabi agreed with him.
