463 – It is reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“If any of you comes (to some people [1] ) and his brother (a Muslim) makes space for him to sit, then it is an honor that Allah has bestowed upon him.” This hadith was narrated by al-Bukhari in Tarikh al-Kabir 1520 and al-Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-iman 8774 from the words of Mus’ab ibn Shayba.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith good. See Saheeh al-jami ‘as-saghir 463.
