Abu Sa’id is reported to have said:
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“If the heat is (too) strong, postpone the midday prayer / dhuhr / until it gets cooler, for, indeed, the heat increases from the flaring up of the Hell-fire.”
This hadith was narrated by Ibn Majah 679.
