«إذا استيقظ الرجل من الليل وأيقظ أهله وصليا ركعتين كتبا من الذاكرين الله كثيرا والذاكرات» .

It is reported from the words of Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa’id, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When a man wakes up at night and wakes his wife, and they pray two Rak’ah, they will be recorded among the men and women who remember Allah much.”
This hadith was narrated by Abu Dawood 1309, al-Nasai in Sunan al-Kubra 1310, Ibn Majah 1335, Ibn Hibban 2569 and al-Hakim 1/461, 2/452.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Sahih al-jami ‘as-sagyir 333, Sahih at-targib wa-t-tarhib 626.
