“إذا تبعتم الجنازة فلا تجلسوا حتى توضع”
(م) عن أبي سعيد.
424 – It is reported that Abu Sa’id al-Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
“When you follow a bier, do not sit until it is placed on the (ground). ”
This hadith was narrated by Muslim 959.
Sheikh al-Albani called the hadith authentic. See Sahih al-jami ‘as-saghir 424.
